SPOUSES FOR COUPLES RETREAT

Next Event: TBD

C.O.P.S.
Spouses for Couples Retreat

C.O.P.S. Spouses for Couples Retreat is planned for surviving spouses and their new spouse/domestic partner *(21 years or older) of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, as determined by C.O.P.S. criteria

C.O.P.S. Spouses for Couples Retreat gives couples a safe, comfortable place to recognize the struggles of one another while building a stronger, more understanding foundation for their relationship. While at the retreat, couples will meet licensed mental health professionals who will facilitate sessions that are specific to their needs. Couples will also have the opportunity to schedule one-on-one sessions with these counselors; which encourages a more intimate, specified counseling experience.

What to Expect

For a surviving spouse, beginning a new relationship and allowing yourself to love again can be difficult. When you do find love again, that person may have difficulty supporting you in your grief while living in what may feel like the shadow of a hero.
